I grew up on the street behind this restaurant, which when originally built in 1977 (when I was in 3rd grade) was a Stag & Hound upscale steak place that lasted for quite a while but since then, not a single restaurant has survived in this location more then a couple of years. The latest restaurant to go under is a Louisiana Crab Shack, that made it maybe a year and is now closed down, waiting for the next guy to buy the place and roll the dice.

Dunno why the location is so unsuccessful? It's on a main road (12 Mile and Mound in Warren MI) and is just a 1/4 mile from GM's Tech Center, where there are thousands of highly paid white and blue collar workers? You'd think the joint would be jumping?

I grew up on the street behind this place on 12 Mile Rd. and Mound in Warren Michigan, which was built back in 1976 as a Stag & Hound upscale restaurant that was pretty successful for 10 years or so but in the years since, there have been dozens of different restaurants operating out of the same building and NOT A SINGLE ONE has lasted more then a couple of years. It’s just been renovated once again, (pic related was the last incarnation) this time as a Louisiana Crab Shack. We’ll see how long they last.

My theory is that the building is cursed because it’s build on an Indian burial ground, as Mound Road supposedly got its name because there were all kinda Indian burial mounds in the area.

This place was originally built decades back when I was a little kid as a Stag & Hound up-scale steak place but since then, the building has housed literally dozens of different restaurants and every single one of them has gone out of business after only a couple of years. I’m convinced the joint is built on an ancient Indian burial site…

The building was built 1976 originally as a Stag & Hound up-scale restaurant and that place was in business for several year but after that, it’s been bought and sold literally dozens and dozens of times and been all kinda restaurants (currently it’s Deliciae Grill & Cafe) and none of them have ever lasted more than a couple of years.

I have no idea with they all fail? It’s a good sized place with lots of seating and a separate bar area, lots of parking and being located on 12 Mile Rd. just west of Mound in Warren Michigan, (I grew up on the street in the background) it’s almost kiddy corner to the GM Tech Center from where you’d expect all kinda steady clientele but for whatever reason, every single joint that's ever opened there quickly goes down the tubes.
