Their food is pretty good, their entrees at least their fried rice is shit, it just misses the mark that people who have access to a dozen or so local Chinese restaurants have come to expect: cheap prices and huge portions.

I live in California bay area (East Bay)
Chinese food lunch combo is $8
Popeyes Chicken two piece Tuesday is $2.25
McDonald's has the 1 2 3 value menu
A 12 pack of soda is $6 ($4 if you buy from grocery outlet)

I don't know how bad the situation in NYC is if the guy needs to spend 100 on a couple of burgers and wine, maybe he just bullshitting or eating at some fancy shmancy ristorante

Either orange or szechuan chicken lunch special with fried rice, comes with egg roll and hot and sour soup. Recently found out you can also get honey walnut prawns as well, it's fucking delicious but it's technically a combination dinner which costs more so I only order that one sometimes.
