Putting the opening on the bottom of the pumpkin is fuckin stupid, but the drill got me thinking.
I carve a lot of pumpkins every year and dealing with the stringy bits is annoying. His method might work great to clean up the inside of the pumping after the loose pulp and seeds are scooped out.
Beats scraping away for an hour, depending how big the pumpkin is.
