I'm 30 and bought pretty much very utensil you see there, fish fork and knife silver plated to add to my Fürstenberg Grecque porcellain and italian crystal. Simply because I like nice things and historical weight. I'll still butter my toast with the handle of a spoon to not have to wash another cutlery piece when I'm home alone.

Just because you have to aesthtic sensibilities, culture or financial way of getting them, doesn't mean nobody else had. I'm already shocked how most pleb shops don't even sell cake forks with their sets only table and tea spoon, table knife and fork. Same for how most cups come without saucers. Sad. Many such cases.
