I make stews a bit but I have no recipes.
I'll just boil some vegetables in a stock beef/chicken/vegetable/fish depending on what meat I'm using, starting with the longest cooking ones (potato, carrots etc).
Brown the meat in a pan with some onion and spices (normally just garlic and butter, maybe ginger). Take off the heat and add more spices (Chilli cinnamon rosemary etc) stir up get a good coating and let sit 5mins.
Add to the vegetables and broth, simmer down a bit.
Maybe add milk/cream/butter/cheese depending on the stew otherwise maybe a little cornflour dissolved in cold water.
Settle down to simmer with lid on and go play a computer game for a while
Check on pot after a half hour to taste and adjust, add S&P
Play another game
Serve with garnish(coriander, parsley, sour cream, cheese) and bread and butter
