I think because people don’t grind it themselves and use too hot/too cold water. I have a little grinder I use every morning and I keep my beans in an airtight container. I vigorously boil my water, but let it rest off heat for 1.5 min to come down a few degrees. I do an initial “bloom” of the coffee grounds where you just get them wet and wait about 30 sec before you start dumping water in. I do pour over like pic related only because I was at someone’s house and they served me a pourover and the taste was so good it blew my mnd.

Because it's expensive and tastes like shit. Get an aeropress or a decent pour-over setup, it doesn't take that much longer you fucking lazy nigger.
