If you ask an American where the hamburger came from most will probably say I dunno, Germany I think. We don’t care. Ask a br*t where fish and chips came from and you’ll get a lecture about how they and only they could have thought of frying fish and potatoes.

Fucking lol. Immigrants changed their food for local taste on your shores. And? This is exactly like if Americans claimed the California roll as a uniquely American invention that is the pinnacle of Japanese cuisine and by extension America basically owns all sushi. You will never hear an American interject “an American invented that” but I’ve heard “a br*t invented that” irl unprompted dozens of times about chicken tikka masala. Absolute cringe madness.
You don’t have an empire, your beloved queen (lol) has presided over your great decline and will be remembered for it, and your food is average at best. The constant bleating about how wonderful you are, in all aspects, is the reason everyone rags on you.
