I'm holding the 6 Iles and Dailuaine for a trip before too long so I just got the Ben Nevis and Ardmore today instead. Adelphi is a 700ml again... although very nice for only 5 years old and nearly 60% abv.(drinks better than my Knob Creek single barrel that's nearly 3 times its age)the sherry is quite full in the experience and as this is my first Ben Nevis, I'm not entirely sure what the distillery character is, but there is a lot great umami flavors like a restaurant grade teriyaki. it would've been nice if it were $20 cheaper, but for a once in a lifetime purchase, absolutely worth it. poured a little Glenallachie 10 Batch 6 next to it because they both have lots of Olorosso influence as well as noticeable balsamic thing. in comparison the Glenallachie is very fruity and the Nevis being more tea like with its complexity, dry and herbal.

Ardmore is very nice as well albeit in a more simple way, pure bourbon sweetness and slight salty finish and the perfect amount peat smoke(burning leaves). poured a little Teachers next to it and all I got was grain in comparison with very minute sour apple and milk chocolate notes.
