Anyone else here dislike almost all (whole) sausages? I have no problem with sausage filling that's been taken out of the casing and served on its own or in a dish, but I just don't like sausage in the casing. It's hard to describe what I dislike most about it, but I would say it's a combination of texture and richness. It's way too homogenous most of the time and feels like biting into some sort of meat apple for lack of a better phrase. Second, the fattiness. While fat gives a good level of intensity to meat, I find there tends to be too much of it in most sausages, and distributed evenly throughout so every bite is just as fatty as the last. Just a bit too savory to enjoy entirely on its own, even when eaten on a bun.
