4chan has always been a literal dumpster fire! Since 2006, when we started up an hero, through chanology, the rocky stormfront era, and even today, it's ALWAYS been like this.
And it is my home, and I believe there is value here, in spite of that.

It is BECAUSE it is a dumpster fire that I work to make it better. BECAUSE you view it as a lost cause, because you believe these people are unworthy of redemption, THAT is why I am here.

I d-do volunteer work, I donate, I do all s-sorts of things to better the world, and I consider this work vital exactly because I've seen how a little empathy can get people out of the holes they find themselves in.

I've seen people improve from here. I know they can be reached. So here I am.
