You. There are other things you might keep in the oven that are reasonable to be there, like food someone finished and want to keep the wind off of, or letting something cool or even finish cooking as the oven cools down over time.
It's understandable if you live alone to have a habit of not checking, but when you live with someone you always check to make sure someone else didn't leave something, reasonable or retarded, in the oven.

>work in a greasy spoon diner
>backed up to middle class homes
>so basically behind our little diner was the employee parking and our dumpsters, against our wooden fence, then the house chain link fence from the middle class homes backyards, which declined towards our end on a slope
>anyways, we start noticing extra trash start showing up
>think maybe it's homeless leaving it behind
>one day catch homeowner chucking their bags into our employee lot
>what the fuck my dude
>tell owner
>owner takes ladder, chucks trash back over wall
>next day happens again
>owner takes ladder again, one bag, plops it over the fences, boxcutters the bag and dumps the content into the yard
>owner installs camera aimed at the spot
>next night homeowner tosses bags again, they burst, spilling paint all over our parking spaces
>owner flips his fucking shit, calls cops, gives evidence
>but he isn't happy with having them pay for damages, lunatic that he is

>starts collecting rats and mice around the diner

>then the next day they're all gone

>homeowner moved a few months later, after losing the court case and being forced to reimburse owner for paint damage
