Haha, link all the cooking threads you currently have up, and the ones you’re currently posting in. I hate to break it to you, but every time you make a thread asking a “cooking” question, be it about technique, ingredients, equipment, etc., or just asking for advice on something you cooked, you’re probably reading my comments, and have likely replied to me with something along the lines of, “thanks anon!” I make these threads for fun, and to keep up some semblance of OC on this board – even though I rarely cook anything at home worth posting these days. More than anything, I’m curious why you take such offense to these threads, which are essentially just anon sharing what he’s eating on a Tuesday night, while you’re okay with 6 thousand Travis Scott (?) threads, or even anon posting a 40 and some Domino’s wings. Here’s the meal I cooked tonight, by the way.

those "hamburg" meals are garbage, but everyone should try tonkatsu, which is pork cutlet with hot mustard based on Portuguese recipe. this was my favorite thing to eat in Nippon land, though the ones ive found here in the states are never juicy and soft enough to tear apart with your chopsticks

I miss:
tonkatsu teishoku (all the ones ive found back in the states are dry and like cardboard, not juicy. also no one wants to give it to you with karashi for some reason.)
those pickled veggies you get as appetizers in some Japanese restaurants. forget what theyre called.
proper tuna nigiri sushi. tastes like butter.
onigiri with stuff inside.
convenience store sushi rolls. with mayo.
that breaded chicken cutlet with tartar sauce they had in a restaurant in the town I lived in.
just soy flavor potato chips. all the ones in the u.s. also have wasabi added to them.

Japanese food I don't miss:
that wet rice porridge shit you were served at the end of nomikai parties
shochu. potato alcohol tastes like garbage, like watered down vodka. unless it was warmed up in cold weather, in which case it was nice.
okonomiyaki. the only amazing one I had was in Osaka, tasted like sex, all the rest I had were OK not amazing.
ramen. overrated food.
