I've never worked in a restaurant before, but made a completely fake resume with years of experience and got a job as a line cook. I asked for $2 more per hour than they offered in the ad. They gave it to me because they need "a night guy who can hold his own", and told me not to discuss my wages with the other cooks because they're starting me higher than people who have been there for a couple years.

My first shift is tonight. How fucked am I (or how fucked are they)?
