Imagine if you cut off the frilly ends of lasagna, slice them into spoonable pieces, and cooked them in meat sauce like it was any regular pasta. That's pretty much it.

Times change, back in the day, any convenience food was a novel idea, futuristic and modern even. Now, anything of the sort is sort of seen as being reserved for bachelor cliches and kids. You'd never imagine going to somebodies house for a sit down dinner and the house cook brings out a huge steaming pan of Chef Boyardee Lasagna, that's strictly stocked for kids to nuke when their parents are at work, complete with easy open cans. Think about how today people associate Looney Tunes with being childrens mascots, but when the original shorts aired they were being played for adult only crowds in movie theaters, or how the Flintstones used to be a prime time animated sitcom viewed more in the vein of how The Simpsons would be a couple decades later, or how uber edgy stuff like Family Guy is now.

It's literally just squiggly pasta and it doesn't even have cheese. Apparently in the past, it was made from egg noodles and did have cheese
