if you cook a large pot of food what is the proper time to put it into the fridge.
i know everyone does it differently and most people don't get sick unless it's egregious but i hear to not put it in the fridge warm but i also hear not to leave it out long enough to cool.

lets say you have a gallon of stew in a 2 gallon pot with a lid. if it is boiling hot how long should you wait to put the entire pot in the fridge?
