Obligatory /ck/ food mention: I think a Cuban sandwich is better than a Banh Mi.

I want to hear opinions about Cuban sandwiches. Apparently, they were invented in Tampa, Florida, in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and not in Cuba. So they really should be called, "Tampa, Florida sandwiches." Just about every Cuban sandwich I've ever ordered has been pretty good, but I don't get the mustard and pickles, it's better with mayo and lettuce and tomato. Also, a lot of places seem to think that just because they have the sandwich press, and the ingredients are readily available, they can make a Cuban sandwich, but no, what they get wrong is the bread. It must have Cuban bread to get the full effect. I know a lot of you will say, "it's an overrated sandwich" but I bet you didn't get it on Cuban bread did you?
