I'm from Missouri, so Stag was basically our bottom-of-the-barrel, drinking on a Tuesday beer.

At the gas station round the corner from our house, it was routinely on sale for the state minimum, which was something like $15 for a 30-pack. Good times, bad hangovers.

Coincidentally, Stag is brewed in Milwaukee, but is only sold in Ozark territory. I had friends up in Milwaukee with apartments in full view of the brewery, but they couldn't buy the beer. I always took some with me whenever I visited, and they'd get excited, even though it's nothing special. Except for the memories.

Also, I cut open a can with a can opener once and it smelled like bait, so there's that.
