Not that major but
My grandparents lived in a village and had a wood stove similar to pic
It is used for heating but you could cook something one it if you wanted to.
They had gas burner for actual meals but stove is used for roasting stuff or brewing water etc.
One day I was roasting chestnuts on it and accidentally touched the stove while it was really hot.
I got a burn mark on my forearm just above my elbow, I would say it was 6x2 cm long.
I thought it was there forever but thankfully it healed after 1 or 2 years.
