For you East Coasters, you may or may not have seen when Food Lion hilariously tried to rebrand itself as a "different kind of grocery store" and changed their stores to Bloom. Here are so,e stories:

>"A different kind of grocery store" was our motto and every kept asking me what was so different. To this day I still have no idea. Management would get mad at me for saying this but even they couldn't tell me what's different.

>Fired long time customer service manager who knew how to run things for an affirmative action hire that brought the place into the ground.

>Fired our butcher for getting stabbed trying to stop a shoplifter.

Now for some customer stories:

>Shoppers coming in on Wednesday when new sale started trying to get last week's sales prices. Yelling at memkike I had anything to do with it.

>A couple dudes freaking out that the credit card machine had the audacity to ask them if they wanted English or Spanish directions. Like red in the face yelling that it's America and we speak English here.

>Getting yelled st by a customer because the grape bags were unsealed and they dropped their grapes. Obviously cashiers fault.

>People leaving entire orders on my conveyor belt as they ask after they offload groceries if we take American Express (we didn't)

And my personal favorite:
>Countless people asking me why I worked at a dead end job.
>MFW

After the 3rd time I finally decided enough was enough and joined the military. This was 10 years ago. I am still in. Because getting shot at, screamed at, and living in 3rd world shitholes is still way better then working as a cashier in a US grocery store.
