in the new england journal of medicine. also picrel (from the letters to the editor in response to the paper linked above). Ancel Keys is the researcher who first identified the risks of high cholesterol, and did many of the famous studies on cholesterol. The "chickens and rabbits" comment in his letter are about one of his early highly-publicised cholesterol studies, which he quickly realized was a mistake. unfortunately the popular press never seemed to get the correction.
