50 year old here and I ate the hot school lunches into high school, where by then half the time I’d leave for lunch with a couple of buddies to get a slice of pizza or something.

Back in my day, school lunches were pretty good and we had actual lunch ladies cooking real food, not just microwaving prepackaged stuff. I especially liked the twice-baked mash-potatoes in elementary school and the crazy bread in high school.
