For family sundays frog grandma would often do oven roasted chickens, stews like daube provençale, soupe au pistou, game meat when we went hunting, that kind of stuff. The real deal was when gramps would get the brick oven ready to make individual pizzas for everyone. I wish they were still alive.

>WHY DOES EVERY FUCKING PERSON MAKE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL NOW FOR FUCKING EVERY LITTLE FAGGOT THING.
Internet Anon. Before the internet you knew the people in your town or district, you got the news on TV or a newspaper, the world felt so distant that you didn't realize how big it actually was. To make yourself interesting as a teenager you would try to be fashionable, following stupid trends like baggy jeans. You'd listen to some obscure artists trying to make yourself sound interesting, that kind of shit. Then the internet happened. People realized how big the world was now that they could freely see it from their fingertips. They also realized how insignificant they were in that big world, that they didn't matter. But their ego wouldn't have it and together with the development on the internet and especially social medias people tried to find new ways to prove they existed and that they mattered.
It's only an illusion but as they say ignorance is bliss, that's why you have people wasting 5 hours a day on twitter thinking what they say matter. Or people making up words like genderfluid or non binary like they were playing dungeons and dragons and the GM was fucking with them when they asked if they could sub class. We call them snowflakes, extremely self centered people who want attention, who think they are so special, so different. In the end the human ego is a strong thing and in many humans it manifests in an attention craving. Youtube shit chefs are just one of the many forms this attention craving can take.

That being said meme foods are basically extreme amounts of anything or whatever is trendy being added to a recipe it has no business in. For example, cutting up some bacon and putting it in a BLT isn't meme food because its an integral part. Putting it in a Beef Wellington is because its "lol so bacony guis XD"
