I recently cut right into the side of my thumb, through the skin, nail and nail bed until I got to bone. This was the day after I’d sharpened the chefs knife I got for Christmas for the first time in a whetstone is bought, all that stuff about a blunt knife being the most dangerous is bullshit, I didn’t even feel the cut until I’d hit my own bone and felt the texture of the cut changing. Scary.
