>be in hotel restaurant with parents
>all three of us order a dishes which are essentially steak with sides
>long wait, waitress comes up with only 2 plates
>parents start eating while I figure they're plating mine or something
>dad's steak is overcooked to hell, not just well done but fucking leather
>mom's steak is cold
>they straight up forgot my dish

Another one, not quite as bad:
>be in local restaurant that holds a michelin star
>not in the greatest mood because of rough uni semester (mostly turned that around in 2nd exam session)
>fine dining atmosphere making me nervous as well, feel like anything I do may upset everyone
>staff very friendly though
>follow some multi-course menu they have set up, most of it is tasty and refined, up until now no problems that aren't a direct result of my autistic nature
>"main" course featuring a supposedly high-quality meat cut
>holy fuck salt
>even after scraping off the obnoxious sea salt grains, the meat tastes like salt
>completely overpowers any meat flavour
>thirsty af because of this, but because this is a "fancy" restaurant they don't leave water bottles on the table
>have to wait for some dickhead to notice my (tiny) empty glass, get a bottle out of some cooler/container and refill every time
>dessert was complex but not that great
