>On a family holiday in France
>We go to a small restaurant and get seated
>We look around and we're the only customers there
>We also notice that our table is the only one without salt and pepper shakers
>Brother reaches to one of the empty tables and takes its shakers
>Surly looking waiter comes over to give us the menus
>A couple of minutes later he comes back to take our orders
>He then takes the menus and the shakers away
>Brother takes the shakers from another empty table
>Waiter comes over with the drinks and as he leaves he takes the shakers again
>He then goes around all the other tables to take away their shakers too
>Brother goes and takes the shakers from a shelf at the other end of the room
>Guy that looks like the owner comes to give us our meals
>Meanwhile the waiter is standing in a doorway starring at us
>They were the worst meals we'd ever had
>My steak must have been 80% fat and was undercooked
>Owner comes over to ask us what's wrong, seeing that we have hardly touched what was on our plates
>Our French being pretty basic we just tell him we want to leave
That was a little less than 10 years ago, the restaurant isn't around anymore
