What's the best way to increase the amount of alcohol in a home brewed kvass?

I've fallen in love with the drink after brewing a couple of very small batches (under 10 pint) at home in my kitchen. But i'm looking to increase the alcohol content to fit UK tastes and share it with friends as a beer rather than as a borderline soft drink.

Once I've started making kvass, is there something I can do with the soggy burnt bread? Or is it always something to go straight into the trash?
