I recently went to a place that specializes in cocktails. I'm not much of a cocktail drinker, beers my game, but I was trying my girlfriends and they were amazing. Light, sweet, no burn, and leaves you wanting more because they aren't too rich like the whiskey sours you'd get at any other bar.
I noticed the guy had a stack of books on the subject behind the bar.

My question is, is it possible he learned his craft by himself/no schooling? Could I potentially learn to make drinks like that for my lady in my free time? Do you guys have any books you'd recommend?

I apologize for not using Google first but technically I'm on vacation so I didn't feel like it plus I don't mind killing a thread here since half of em are about instant ramen

Pic unrelated

I'm bored.

Ask someone who works in catering anything.

The biggest fucking Cordon Bleu you have ever seen.

Just a fleet of chickens, stuffed with the deli ham and cheese.

Take pics pls.

> How do you like your tendies?
First I cut the chicken into chunks and steam them until they're cooked all the way through. Then I coat them in flour, then the batter, and then bread crumbs.

I always get fucking jewed when I order chicken strips when I go out, so I'm forced to make my own

How does /ck/ doctor up shitty store bought food?

Original ideas appreciated lest we discuss the ubiquitous egg in ramen.

I deep fry pizza bites because there is a deep fryer at work. They are unbelieveable.

Flavored parmesan and a few dashes of hot sauce on popcorn.

I add fresh garlic, raw onion, and other spices to canned chili. If you add some water and let it simmer for a little while its not that bad.

Frozen pizzas get worked up with toppings like fresh onion, peppers, decent quality cheese, and finished on broil in the toaster oven.

Mac and cheese gets spiced up. I like a little bacon (poor man's pancetta), buffalo sauce, and grated cheese like romano or parmesan on top. Easy gourmet food.

Leftover pizza is heated in a pan, then I dump some water in and put the lid on to steam right before serving.

Canned tomato sauce gets a little basil, a hot chili, some lemon pepper, and a dash of my favorite hot sauce. I let it sit on low heat for as much time as I have before eating.

I coat ramen noodles in olive oil while a small amount of water boils in a pan. I cook the noodles very quickly and serve without the broth with whatever the fuck I'm feeling creative with. Its a pretty adaptable if you don't add the seasoning.

Let the hot pockets sit in the microwave after cooking. Trust me.
