As long as your grinds are nice and coarse, this shouldn't be a problem. It's essentially cold brew you're making but over a shorter period of time. You should consider buying a French press.

Sucks man, I'm only practicing, but I know that feel. What's different? Is your draw down taking too long? You might be choking the bed with fines.
