Why americans are fat:

>"Finish your plate!" coupled with large serving sizes.

>Abundance and affordability of fast food options coupled with long working hours/time constraint "well the kids have soccer practice so we usually eat pizza/mcdonalds on those days"

>Poor quality base-line food to meet low wages of working public. Corporate influence largely a result of the size of the Nation. Americans don't eat seasonally so their food often isn't grown near home. What may pass as standard quality in France or Switzerland is termed "organic" in the USA.

>General culture of denialism and anti-criticism. "You shouldn't care what others think about you".
