Distilled water taste the best IMO, but the myth about it stealing minerals from your body has made it available only in gallons, so I usually just buy whatever stored brand RO purified bottled water.
Spring water is absolutely fucking putrid. It taste like bathroom tap water filtered through all the toothpaste crust and calcium deposits on the faucet aerator

canned hams last the longest and don't need water unlike rice and dry beans which need a considerable amount of water to make edible. peanut butter is also good because a jar has a crazy amount of calories in it with tons of protein and fats/oils. But there is nothing like being able to produce your own food and thats where mushrooms come in, they can be grown indoors, without light, without fertile soil, they grow super quick in large quantities and are very nutritious and full of vitamins which are hard to get if you eating a bunch of rice and beans.

Anyone ever have that weird habit of drinking soda that's already long past it's expiration date? I found a can of Coca-Cola that expired 12 years ago while digging through an estate sale, but for some reason I felt real compelled to actually drink it.

Still carbonated, and still tastes like Coke. But surprisingly, it has a bit more of a mild "caramel" flavor to it, yet at the same time there's a pretty chemical-tasting aftertaste as well. It's kinda hard for me to describe, but it almost reminds me of walking into a CVS Pharmacy. That's the best I could summarize it.
