Why did they close? Did the owner retire or something? That happened to me with a great steakhouse near my family's cabin. The owner died (massive heart attack, really shocking for a steakhouse owner) and the wife ran it for a year while trying to sell the place. Couldn't find a buyer so sold the land to a developer who built a bunch of summer rentals by the lake shore. Always feel sad driving by them while remembering all the good meals I had there.
