Yo, /ck/, I need advice.
A friend of mine will be bringing some frozen sardines later today for me to cook. I had this idea in mind:

>sear them in a wok
>take them out
>in the same wok make a sauce
>tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, lemon zest, parsley, green onions (or scallions or chives or whatever the fuck you call them)
>them put 'em back on and let them simmer in the sauce
>like a brazilian moqueca (google it)
>also make some white rice to go along with it

I've done this exact same recipe with catfish before, shit was cash, but I don't know if it will work with sardines as their taste, size and shape is completely different. Should I make it in the wok or another kind of pan would work better? Do you guys think it will turn out good? If not, what should I do with the sardines? Thanks in advance, will post pics when it's done.
