Depends, what are you going for? For my bog standard long grain rice I usually use bay leaf and pepper corns. If I'm making something Indian I might add Cardamom pods, if it's Persian it's saffron (add the saffron at the end after blooming it, do not boil the saffron with the rice).

God I hate faggots that do this, I'm gonna break my balls cooking for them FOR FREE and they have demands too.
