How do I cook rice? I have a 'tall pan', a circular tube shape to cook things in. it looks normal i just dont know what they are called. But I dont have a lid. Can i cook rice without a lid? I am really hungry but i only have rice. So i want to eat the rice like gooks do (dry and sort of sticky) sorry for autism

Okay its seems I fucked up

I am studying abroad in canada and being the cheapsteak I am it seems I either bought a shitty rice brand or the kind you dont need to fry because i got a really shitty rice, really griny

What brands would you recommend for noodles and rice?

I don't know how to rice.

Here is my process.
cup of rice
2 cups of water
rinse rice
let dry
butter in pan
fry rice for a sec
add water
bring to boil
reduce heat
cover
13-15 minutes
turn off heat
cover with cloth
lid back on
10-ish minutes

I fluff and then it's still kind of gluteny/gluey/gooey

it'd edible, it's just not...perfect

Going to try making rice in the microwave for the third time(no stove)

I'm basically going to add 1 cup of rice w/ 1.5 cups of water and throw in some salt. Then I'll microwave for 5 mins, stir, and 3 mins. Not covering the bowl cause the lid blew off last time. I need whatever tips I can get before I start

I just got a rice cooker, tried cooking some rice, followed the directions exactly, and ended up with mushy soggy rice.
