Fast food places had been jobs for teenagers and a few higher paid or salaried managers for decades. The managers could pull in upper middle class incomes and the teens would get on the job training dealing with cash, cooking, and customers.

Then suddenly the jobs went to low wage immigrants and minorities who couldn't find traditionally well paying labor roles in the market. Now, after inflation has destroyed all of our money, the corporations who did this to us are demanding a $15 minimum wage.

Small businesses will be wiped out because the US government papered over twenty years of wars and corporate welfare. Then they make the lower classes fight each other over it.
