I'd try it but I doubt it will taste as good as an actual beef burger. Should just make it into something similar but its own thing that tastes good. I think lab-grown/cultured meat will be a better substitute for "real" meat than trying to turn veggies into meat.

brown rice tastes better. it has a better texture and flavor than white rice. shouldn't taste like mud, maybe try getting a specific variety of rice if you aren't already. brown jasmine rice tastes good and smells really good while it's cooking.
