I don't see what is wrong with sushi pizza other than cheese and missing sushi rice not to duplicate starches. To each their own, though. There's a lot of good fusion sushi out there. I like this place in Miami called Sushi Maki with a good deal of fusion. Another joint in town makes excellent cuban style sushi with maduros that works. Chimmichurri steak on a roll is nearly a beef negamaki and has yummy garlic.

In the US, to be sure, seafood on a pizza is kind of more rare, because we're not all dining somewhere we'd get fresh seafood other than canned clams or some shrimp, but when you can indeed get blue crabs or lobster or stone crab claws, then you do it!
