It's not retarded. It's a pretty great observation. Coca-Cola is more than just some drink you put together and sell to someone. It's a Platonic Form. The Idea of Coca-Cola is more real than the countlessly many individual instances of Cokes that participate in its Form. We all essentially accept that Coca-Cola is this hyperreal perpetual guarantee for a limitless supply of identical drinks, on demand, anywhere in the world from the wealthiest and most exclusive paradise properties to the poorest and least developed hellholes of sub-Saharn Africa. It's the closest thing to a real world fulfillment of the ancient concept of magic, or the supernatural, or the sublime.
