I was in Tunisia as a 9 year old boy. My family and I along with some other Westerners from the yacht we were aboard were forcibly taken by government troops into a room where we had to sit for several hours as they tried to make us buy rugs with US dollars. Fun times.

We waited them out and they eventually returned our passports and let us go on our way. It was a cool visit anyway, but I could have gone without the strong-arm tactics. This was in the 1980's, FWIW.
