I'm getting into Japanese whisky after learning a lot about Scotch and bourbon over the past few years. I got these three bottles with some Christmas gift money and I am blown away by all three. The two single malts are equivalent to scotches in the same price range, and I enjoyed learning about the history and how they're produced in the same way. They both have a lovely bit of peat smoke that doesn't overpower the other flavors on display. I've never quite had anything quite like the Suntory. It's very light, almost no ethanol burn, but still has a very nice mix of floral flavors. I made Japanese highballs with it, just twhisky and club soda, and it's one of the best cocktails I've ever had. There's a few more bottles I want to pick up as well, but I'm really enjoying these three for now.
