I finally tried THE infamous topping on pizza today, and it's really good. It gives the pizza a nice splash of savoriness without fishy-ness or the extra grease of sausage. Why was it always portrayed as the icky option on pizzas in popular media for so long?

Anchovies literally exists because it is a traditional topping in italy. I gotta admit anchovies are shit on american pizza, but they do taste okay on a italian pizza where they don't smother it with cheese, or don't put cheese on it at all.

Thankfully the overly cheesy american-style pizza is starting to go out of style.
