My roommates piss me off with how they use the dishwasher. My method:
>hand wash the dishes, cups, and utensils, load them into the dishwasher as you go through the clean stuff
>efficiently and artfully pack the dishwasher with everything, hand wash all serving bowls and cookware to air dry and put away
>everyone can alternate unloading a full machine
>only need to do it once a week because we have just enough plates/utensils for 3 people to go through in a week
Instead, one roomie thinks it's cool to leave a pan in the sink for a week, rinse it, load it into the 1/3 full dishwasher, and then delay unloading it herself. I caught her doing it this morning and she acted so defensive. Actually ticks me off, though I question whether I'm being autistic or she's being rude.
Nobody wants to unload dishes two or three times a week just for her occasional cooking. I can call her out if she leaves stuff out for a week, but I can't call her out for not doing a full load and leaving clean dishes in the machine.
Same with the toilet paper: expect to go through a roll of paper every 2-3 days and have it be "understood" that it's rude to question that.
