use a small pan that you can completely fill in beans, otherwise they will only heat on their contact spot. to be honest the sky is the limit from then on, you can go slow or fast, scorch or make them yellow. I enjoyed playing with spice mixes and oil for a bit, and getting them to barely smoke and then bringing it down for the flavour. money is my thing now so I just spice it up with cinnamon and cayenne in a pestle myself when I want one.
