Sup /ck/,

My high-quality toaster oven from grorious Nippon crapped out last week. I put my toast in, turned the timer on, and heard a *POP* about a minute later.

Are these things worth repairing? Any idea what the common failure modes are so I can try to figure out what to fix?

It is the sort that uses those metal bar heating elements, like on electric stoves and ovens, not a nichrome wire type.
