This is my first time in the general, but I want to throw something out there. About 4 years ago, I went on a trip around Ireland and while I was there I had a whiskey (pic related).

This is one of my favorite whiskeys. It's smooth, glides over your tongue smooth.

It's good with ice/water. I don't usually mix it, though an Old_Fashioned_Plus.drink would probably make it sparkle.

If I did, I'd do either a cherry-ish variation of an old fashioned with 2oz Writer's Tears, 3 dash Cherry Bitters and .5-1 oz maraschino liquor.

Or I'd do an orange variation with 2oz Writer's Tears, 3-4 dash orange bitters and .5-1oz Cointreau. Garnish with an orange peel, burn the spritz. (my favorite)
