Pizza good

Local is better, you just need to find the good local place. Everywhere is gonna have at least one, some places are lucky to have multiple.
Here's my good local spot in Shizuoka, アンアン. Might not look like much, but the crust is fantastic. Just leagues better than other places in the area.

アンアン is the best pizza I've had in Shizuoka. The place is tiny, like four tables max, and the owner is very curt. But the pizza is solid.
Yes, I know that doesn't look like a New York 'za, I get it.

There's a brick building covered in ivy just a few minutes walk from Shin Shizuoka Station that absolutely has the best pizza in the city.
Its run by an old man so curt he is almost rude, and the dining room is so small it only has three or four tables. But it's totally worth it.

It's nice having foreign food in Japan too. From the Japanese versions of it to more authentic stuff made by foreigners.
There was this really good pizza place in my city. It was nice knowing if I was in the mood for good pizza there was a spot that did it very well.

The best damn pizza in the city, at Anan. An old brick building covered in ivy, only four tables in the cramped space, and the staff was curt bordering on rude. But what good pizza.

One of the loveliest experiences I had in Japan was having a kind, racist old woman take me to an old brick building covered in ivy. There were three tables in the restaurant, you could maybe seat 10 people if they squeezed.
The staff was curt bordering on rude.
And the pizza was delicious.

But they made the best damn pizza for miles and everybody knew it.

"supreme" or "the works."
For smaller amounts, a meat and vegetable pairing is good. Chicken and broccoli, beef /sausage and peppers, something like that.

It was nostalgic but I see no reason to ever go back. Eating chain pizza, it just mediocre delivery pizza, always reminds me of Haruko's "eating bad ramen can be fun too."
Sure but it's still bad.

This was an actual good 'za I had recently. It's the best in the city, but please understand it's a Japanese city so go easy on them.
