Black and Blue Soda:

1 cup frozen blackberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 generous squirt of lemon juice
bring to a boil
simmer for 20 minutes
strain well
pour in glass of seltzer water to taste

Fresh fruit is okay but freshly frozen is better as it breaks down the fruit. You can, of course, use other fruit mixtures it's basically a 2:1 ratio fruit to sugar. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
