banana peels are literally covered in harmful chemicals, you should never eat them. there's people who also use pinneapple peels to make jam but it's the same situation, the chemicals remain even if you wash them. I have worked in both type of plantations and the shit they put on those fruits to make insects avoid them it's very dangerous.
