So I'm making an incursion into the whisky fields, so far I will be buying a pair of bottles, and I'm almost set.

My choices are:

Lagavulin 16
Glenfiddich 15

And can substitute one for Yamazaki 12

My question was, is it worth it to jump into the japanese train as a beginner to this liquor?
