>people actually think this is wrong
>"muh tradition"

Why would you willingly deprive yourself of the most delicious motherfucking chili ever with your only reason for doing so being that some fucking spics 100 years ago didn't do it?

Chili thread. For those of you who use beans, what type do you like?

I like to use 2 lbs of beef, with 3 cans (those standard 15 oz size) of one each black beans, pinto beans, and red kidney beans, and 2 large jalapenos. Of course there are other things too, but the ratio of these 3 ingredients is the most vital part.

This is the way non-watery chili looks like, you have more ingredients actually floating to the top due to the lack of water or some kind of thickening agent. Now, compare to your pic.

It's so common, that this guy used 2 teaspoons of cornstarch,

I've done the whole pureed different types of chili thing, and you're not going to get that deep flavor unless you have a meat stock, preferably beef and a roux. It's cool if you like it that way, but like my chili on the hearty side not watery vegtable/chili juice.
